Mariam Match Game

I've been working on a few projects (none of the ones I really need to be working on, but the ones I want to work on). I can't post pictures of most of the 'stuff,' since they are gifts....BUT...Since Blythe can't read yet...and she's still hanging out waiting to be born, it's safe to post this little gift idea. I stole this idea from several blogs I've come across. I bought some scrapbook paper, glue, hodge podge, printed two (of the same) pictures of each family member here in Texas, and bought a little wooden box, and some wooden 'shapes'.

I glued the pictures to one side of the cards, and the scrapbook paper to the other side of the cards. (Yes, there is one of me too, but I didn't have it printed at the time I took these pictures).

The idea being, since baby Blythe won't be around us Texans as often, and memory matching is a great skill for little ones to develop (OK, maybe I'm a little early putting this together, but I didn't want to forget. She won't be playing it for another year plus)...here's a 'Memory Match' game with her Texas family members faces.

I figured it would be awhile before she works on those 'last names', so I just lumped us Robbins in the same box with the Mariams. They all fit into one nifty little box for storage.

I sealed everything with hodge podge, but I'm having a few mess issues where paper stuck to pieces, or they wanted to stick to each other, but I have until Christmas to get those all worked out. Let me know if you have any hodge podge tips!
