....Someday in Heaven....

Someday in heaven, I hope there is a little craft table where you can sew little shoes for little feet. I bought the pattern for these shoes off Etsy. I saw them on the site makeitandloveit (I think this is all Jo's fault for telling me about the site). I thought I was having a heart attack when I saw these cute little things on the site advertising the pattern, and..of course it's just about the only pattern on the site you have to buy (she gives so many great ideas away, and I completely understand why she charges for this pattern, I would have paid double). As soon as I bought the pattern (she sent it via email, and it's so great. She gives step by step instructions with pictures included in great detail for every step, and the template is for shoes for 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 (which these are) and 9-12 months. My favorite were a black and white pair very similar to this, so I had to go to Hobby Lobby right away and get the necessary supplies. Forget the fact that I have about 10 Christmas gifts left to make, my house is a mess, all my Christmas decorations aren't out, I have two major projects to do at work, and I've been out until past 11 every night this week, I've got a cute project screaming my name. This afternoon I came straight home and started sewing (in between tonight's outing). Everything went well...until I discovered that I had sewn one side with the right side facing the wrong direction which added about 45 minutes to an otherwise uneventful project (this is typically how projects go-I love my seam ripper). I'll be finding a cute foot model in about a week, and if these are too little for aforementioned model, I guess I'll just have to make another 8 or 9 pairs a little larger for the cutest little 7 month old I know. The only thing I can think of cuter than these shoes is my little friend I made these for. Yay for Etsy, and fun sewing projects. No more shoes until I complete at least four more Christmas gifts....
