The Truth Project

This Wednesday evening I began a class that's been on my wish list for a year+(thanks for the suggestion, Maggie). The Truth Project is a course offered in many churches through Focus on the Family, and from what I can tell it discusses where Christians stand in the midst of cultural pulls, current issues, and misconceptions. I really enjoyed the first of the 12 classes, but it took me a little while to wrap my mind around the depth of the material-lots of logic...and it had been a long day, and logic isn't really something my field calls for on a regular basis, thank goodness God was in charge of this need for brain power. Slowly, I was able to grow my brain big enough to start to grasp some of the great concepts the presenters offered. I think the biggest impact for me last night was this statement: "Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?" If I truly placed my faith, and trust in Jesus, than I'd certainly have a different prayer life! I'll be working on that-finding discernment in the prayers, hearing His will, but then claiming them as upcoming facts. I'm looking forward to discovering the truth, it was Jesus' whole purpose in coming to this earth, afterall! John 18: 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
