Halloween Wreath and Other Odds and Ends

Food, shelter, clothing, bed spring wreath, there are just some basic needs one must have to sustain themselves through daily life.  I didn't make this, I bought it.  I've seen these funky bed spring wreaths 'springing up' (sorry, could...not...stop...myself...) all over the net, and I'm pretty sure if I didn't somehow hop on the bandwagon, I'd need you someone to engrave "She led a full life, but never owned a bed spring project..." on my grave.   It appears to be a pretty easy project.  This lady connected each spring with a curled wire.  She also sprayed some wreaths colors (like red) and added Christmas decor, and a few wreaths she stacked like a Christmas tree and added ornaments too (cuter than it sounds).   The problem with making this myself... there is no way I could bring a rusty bed full of springs to my house, there are city ordinances I dance too closely to far too often, so....I didn't know how I'd fulfill my bed spring wreath need, until I found one today at Canton.  Canton is a magical land in Texas that opens four days a month (the weekend before the first Monday).  Crafters, antiquers, garage salers all bring their goods and wares, and as the saying goes....if you build it, they will come.  My Mom and I drove out, hopped on the tractor pulled carts (no lie) and rode towards bed spring paradise.  I got some other grea-at stuff I'm going to jazz up and post about later, and I might or might not have also collected a years worth of fun ideas to try out as well.  After a few hours of shopping through Canton (their site says you could walk 28 miles if you walked up and down every stall, and I believe them), we headed towards Tyler.  Among other things, we tried out Stanley's BBQ for the first time (Thanks, Zee for the suggestion awhile ago!).
They have won some awards, are open for lunch, and close when the meat runs out.  It really was good.  And now....I'm going to start working enough crafts to keep this blog going through at least 2012.
