Pumpkin Cupcakes

Saturday, September 04, 2010

I've made about 17 different cupcakes in 18 different flavors over the last few weeks.  I have those post set to post....soon, but I decided to play around with some extra ingredients.  I had orange icing left over from an experiment, extra chocolate chips, and pretzel rods just screaming to be put to use.  What I like about these cupcakes is that they can be set on their edge like a little pumpkin patch.
I thought about piping on the face, but I'm digging the chocolate chips.  And now....I'm ready for Halloween!  ...and summer 2011.  Not necessarily in that order.

Oh this is too cute! It looks easy enough to make a few dozen for say...an entire class?!? Thanks for this adorable idea. I can't wait to see your other cupcake creations :)

Oh I agree, the chocolate chips are perfect! These are so cute...I'm just not sure if I'm ready to swap flip flops for pumpkins just yet...

These are cute and I bet arranging the chocolate chips would keep ER's little finger's busy for a long time. I'm just trying to decide if they might be too tiny and hard for her to place. I've been on the look out for something cute to make with her this October that she can decorate fairly independently and still get fun results. She just loves helping me in the kitchen, mainly because she loves to wear her blue finding nemo apron but I like to thinks it's because she just loves mother daughter baking time.
