Gingerbread Reindeer Cookies

Saturday, December 11, 2010
I saw these cookies a few years ago at one of the Christmas parties at school.  I don't know what parent sent them up, but they made an impression, and I've always meant to make these little guys.  I made some dough a few weeks ago for a dessert I took to someone (I posted this recipe in November).  I know they also sell gingerbread cookie dough in the refrigerated section in tubes around Christmas.  These don't get a lot simpler.  I pressed my dough into circles, baked as directed, and then I inserted pretzels and M&M's as soon as they came out of the oven.  They don't have mouths, so you don't have to listen to them scream while you eat them.  Yay, for silent desserts.

Can I say THANK YOU!!!! I am a working mom, but I always sign up for school parties & want to make "homemade" treats. This is totally on top of my list for the class party next week!
