Milk and Cookies Baby Shower Invitation

It's baby shower time...again.  Welcome to what will be (another) long line of post over the next month, or rather, as many post as I feel like writing as a group of us begin the process of project:  Milk and Cookies Baby Shower.  Here's today's project-the invitations.
I found this uber cute milk carton printable at Thanksgiving online, and I cut it out, and traced it on white paper to make these little guys.
We folded, and then I added a 2 inch strip of scrapbook paper, mounted on another brown piece of paper to make it pop.  And a color scheme was born.
I filled these up with Cookie Crisp, and then shut them with ribbon.  A few people have asked in the past, so this is a great way to save on ribbon...I've used this for a lot of invitations that I want to have ribbon, but want the ribbon to go further than the ribbon hogging bows allow.
1.  Thread the ribbon through both holes.
2.  Take one side, and bring it through the the opposite hole.
3.  Take it through the back of it's original hole.
4.  Pull it tight, and trim.
5.  We added round circle punches with the shower info, and tags I found at Walmart.  We glued on the words: Milk and Cookies on one side, and addressed the guest on the other side.

  25. What a clever idea for a fun Milk & cookies themed party. I love it. Thanks also for sharing the ribbon idea for closing them. I'm pretty anal about my ribbons, so this is a great, easy idea for closing up the invites without having to tie them. Awesome.

I had to share this on my Shout Out Sunday blog post:
