Teacher Appreciation: Pencil Vase Bouquet

Wednesday, April 13, 2011
I know I'm not the first one to think of this, but....it's a really easy idea for a teacher themed bouquet of flowers for about 6 bucks.
I grabbed 48 pencils at the back to school sales for about 2 cents, a vase from the dollar store, and I used hot glue to pop the pencils onto the vase.
On small bouquet of flowers from Sam's, and...ta da.  A gift.  I really, really, really want to use these as center pieces at a retirement luncheon someday.  BUT, I really, really, really don't want anyone to retire anytime soon, so I'm conflicted.  Until then...

You could even do this with a tin can or old spaghetti jar making it cost even less. I LOVE the look of the pencils. Thanks for posting such a great idea!
