I'm addicted to chalkboard paint. I pretty much just walk around my house, holding the can in my hand, and trying to decide what I can spray next. If it stands still....I've probably sprayed it. If it doesn't stand still, I've waited until it was sleeping to spray it. Here is my latest concoction. I made some chalkboard wine glasses last year, the link is here. I decided to use the same concept with disposable cups for a 'school days' themed 'thing' I'm doing. It's just fun. And I know fun. :No need to comment on this statement.: I have two cans of chalkboard paint, so if you want to come have fun too, swing by anytime. Or if you want to make chalkboard drink labels for a party.....I just took some of those sticky address labels I had left over from a shower invitation I sent out.
I gave it one quick coat, let it dry...
...and went to work labeling glasses with chalk. Got my glass. Ready for the par-tay.

I can't believe you just used regular labels to make these. I LOVE this idea. There are so many times that I could have used this. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteBut Christy, I want you use show me other chalkboard paint colors. (You need to read this with me using my 5 year old girl whiny voice) And on a side note, I can't believe you thought of and successfully painted a sticker. I think God bends the laws of crafting for you.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are serious about chalkboard! I am going to do this for Thanksgiving. The kids always mix the cups up at the kids table. Great idea
