Tutu Onsie

I saw this adorable post for salvaging a onesie at BubblyCreation.  I was recently invited to a baby shower, and one of the things the guest were supposed to bring was a baby outfit that represented them.  The mom-to-be guessed who brought each piece.  I knew I needed to try out this tutorial, because if I'm not a pink, frilly, beribboned baby onsie....well then....I don't know WHAT I am.
I also had just the onsie to use.  I had some new onsies that were part of a tragic tie dying accident (see the blue stain on the sleeve to the right of this picture?)
One of the first steps involve snipping that sleeve enough to only fold the raw edge down twice.  If stains are other places, you can cover them with the rose ribbon (bought at Hobby Lobby at 40% off, so it was about $5 for a yard and a half).
I folded down the arms, and secured both with a ribbon, per the instructions.
I then pinned the rose ribbon into place at the top of the collar and used x shaped stitches to sew it down.  The roses are on a thin piece of tulle, as you can see at the bottom of the picture, this is where you sew it down.
 The collar.
I then wrapped and sewed down more rose ribbon in two layers at the bottom of the onesie all the way around, and I added a bow.  Because the only thing a pink onesie with a bunch of pink rose bedecked ribbon needs is an additional bow.  Sometimes more is more.
