DIY Wooden Cross Part 2

A few months ago I blogged about the crosses this year I'm making for a few of my friend's birthdays (I choose something different each year to make for friends that fall well into whatever the year's category is-aprons, bags, jewelry).  I started with myself.  I blogged the super simple steps here...and next up....a few crosses I've made for friends using the same steps I used before.  After these first three I'm varying them up a bit, but I'm happy with the way they turned out.  The first cross in this post is for a family member.  It will be a Christmas gift this year.   She doesn't read my blog.  For 11 months of the year that might not be a good thing, but when it comes to posting her Christmas gifts, it's not a problem!   The cross below is one I made for a friend's birthday.  She is into politics, so I tried to go with the patriotic theme.  America has such a rich Christian history, and though there is a separation of church and state, it's exciting to live somewhere  you can vote freely and include your personal values in your decision making.
Now....time to vary up some techniques....and start thinking about what I'll make next year for friends and coutrymen.
