DIY Chapstick

I saw the idea for making this lip balm at 7 Alive and I fell in love.  I'm always looking for fun little gifts my 'adult' friends....and I usually say it with food.  But....I think there is probably way too many calories floating around on Valentine's Day....I'm not complaining, but I suspect some of my gifts get tossed for just this reason.  This was a simple one!
I bought beeswax from Amazon.  I'm sure they sell it at the health food stores, but it was cold and I was feeling lazy.  You can also find liquid vitamin e there, but....I just bought the pills and cut open the gel tablets with scissors.  I grabbed some coconut oil (sold near the Crisco on most baking rows in grocery stores), and some fun scents of essential oil (optional).  To house my lip balms, I bought little heart containers from Michael's (10 for 2 bucks full price, I used a coupon b/c that is the kind of gal I am).
To make one lip balm:
1.  You place a few drops of the oil in the bottom of your plastic container.
2.   In the microwave put 2 T of beeswax pellets in a microwaveable bowl with 1 T of coconut oil, and 1/2 t of Vitamin E (three pills).
3.   I heated my bowl for about a minute.  I stirred it around, and then I started heating it in 30 minute segments.  It took me about 2 1/2 minutes to get the beeswax melted.  The coconut went to liquid pretty quickly.  I had to really work the beeswax with the back of my spoon to get it to start blending, but then it worked great once it got hot enough.
4.   I pour the liquid into the container (with the oil already at the bottom) and let it cool and solidify.
