Silhouette Wall

Thursday, April 09, 2020

I actually finished (the start) of this wall in December, but I just realized I never posted it.  It's quarantine that brings out this productive side of me.  I'm obsessed with silhouettes and I have been for a few years now.  I pick them up from time to time, and the more different the better.  My favorite is the oval girl who is actually a cross stitch and the one below her in a little glass bubble frame.  They are both from England.  It's hard not to go online and buy up every single one I like, but I decided to set rules for myself.  I let myself have two from England (since I was visiting England at the time), but the rest have to be found at random as I'm antiquing.  My goal is to grow my collection, but....to be picky.  I'm sure I'll get over it someday, but....so far it's still going pretty strong.  This wall is right by my entrance way.  It used to have a wreath and some other things I had made, but I tossed those b/c they had done their job (for almost twenty years).  The were hanging on the round hooks, so I used repurposed those.  Now I'm going to go and sit and think about what other things I've done over the last few years and I was too busy to add as a future memory for 'me' when I look back over this public diary of activities.
