Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits

I don't like fish, and yet...for years I've been heading to Red Lobster simply because I want to eat their cheddar biscuits....lots and lots and lots of their cheddar biscuits.  The recipe recently ran in the newspaper for these biscuits.  It originally ran in some magazine years ago via the restaurant...oh my.  These are exactly what I love, they are so easy to make, and now I don't have to mess with 'that other food' and I can make a platter of biscuits for dinner.  Period.
Here's the recipe, it makes 10-12 biscuits.
Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit Ingredients
2 c. bisquits (buttermilk baking mix), 2/3 c. milk, 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 c. butter (melted), 1/2 t. garlic salt
Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit Instructions
Preheat oven to 450.
Mix bisquick, milk and cheddar cheese with a wooden spoon until soft dough forms.
Beat vigourously for 20 seconds.
Drop by heaping T onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes until golden.
Combine melted butter and garlic and brush over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet.
Serve warm.  ...to yourself, you aren't going to want to share these.

  2. Hi Kelly :) the melted butter with the garlic salt (last ingred listed) gives it that garlic taste....so yummy! I was surprised the garlic was brushed on and not baked in, but it taste spot on to me.

  7. I don't care if they DO say,
"(Wo)Man can not live by bread alone"...I just KNOW I could. I do love hot bread..especially hot rolls and biscuits. I am making these tonight for dinner...well, I MAY have to add some kind of meat and potatoes for Mr. Sweet. :))
Thanks girl, for this amazing recipe.
Come over and have a banana split with me. :))
