Recently a pal at work told me she was trying to think of a thoughtful gift for her mom-who likes frames. Little frames. I remembered a wreath I had seen awhile back at Infarrantly that I wanted to try out-and I got to work.
I found some colorful little picture frames on sale at Michaels. They are usually a dollar (though they often have 20 percent off your whole purchase, or teachers get a discount on regularly priced merchandise), but I just so happened to find these in the clearance bin for 20 cents each! Steal! I spent 5 bucks on 19 frames (every one they had).
I wanted them to be silver, though the colors are fun, and so I just covered up the front with a little painters tape (normally I would have pulled out the glass, but these are more of a plastic film (better for traveling anyway)...I sprayed them down with some silver spray.
I also have a lovely rectangle of silver on my back patio to commemorate the occasion....
I added a burlap ribbon to a 14 inch grapevine wreath.....burlap and I go way back...
I added a piece of wire to the back of each frame.......pulled both ends of the wire through the grapevine and twisted...
I started placing them on the wreath, and then piling them up...Gretchen also printed all the pictures for me (special people in her Mom's life)-we went with black and white-just a little more fun....

This is a great idea and I don't even like wreaths. I have 24 of those frames hanging around from a project that didn't work. Thanks so much for sharing this idea.

Beautifully done! I've been planning a wreath like this for awhile and have collected dozens of different mini frames. You totally scored on that sale! Well done.
Bezva nápad. už vím jak ho využiji.
