Kelly 'tagged' me in a blogging commentary involved revealing 8 things your friends may...or may not know about you. The stranger the better. I'm supposed to respond on my 'myspace blog'.....but I'm going to respond here instead because I don't log on to myspace very frequently, and a definitely don't blog there. Feel free to do the same, I love learning (or relearning) interesting things about my friends, and I'm guessing a lot of you already know the following about me, but here it is-8 Things You May Not Know About Christy
1. I'm not a vegetarian, but I tend to eat meatless entrees. In fact, even when I order something with meat, the 'meat' is usually what is left at the end of the meal (and what I mean my meat is chicken-I never eat steak or hamburgers etc, though every once in awhile I'll get a wild idea and have a good bbq sandwich). I can go weeks without eating one piece of meat. It's all about the bread for me.
2. I've never smoked a cigerette, I've never tried a beer. I'm allergic to cigerette smoke, beer smells like urine, I have no desire to 'acquire the taste.' I'm a pretty conservative gal, I can add a lot of other 'nevers to this list'....but should I have to make another list someday, I'll save them for later :O)
3. I'm a list-aholic. I write list all day, and I even have list of my list. Grocery List, Chore List, Wish List, Gift List, Job List, Home List. They are on my desk at work, in my car, by my nightstand, next to my computer. I even write list for other people, it's obnoxious. My favorite list is a list of 101 things I want to do (no time limit set) about 7 years ago. I have about 40 things checked off. It ranges from places I want to visit, dishes I want to try making, classes I want to take, movies I want to see, books I want to read, things I want to do for others, and things I want to do for myself. It's fun.
4. I've never seen the movie Star Wars---and I have no plans of seeing it anytime soon.
5. I read a LOT...for hours on end, and though I'll eventually dedicate myself to finish one book, I usually have about 5 books I'm 'currently reading' sitting on my nightstand.
6. The earliest I go to bed is midnight-I'm a nightowl.....during the summer when I get to set my own schedule I stay up until 3 or 4 am, and then get up about 9 or 10 in the morning. I'm just not a big fan of sleep.
7. One of my biggest pet peeves is people that are chronically late. It really frustrates me when people are late on a regular basis because time is so precious, and I just think it's really selfish to make someone sit around and wait on you.
8. I have a fear of bridges and whales. When I was little my Mom read from an illustrated bible series and I repeatedly asked to hear Jonah and the Whale-since then I have had recurring whale nightmares, and large bodies of water bring back a fear of large fish. As a child even fishing at a lake I would worry that I would catch a whale or a shark and it would 'pull me in.'

thanks for sharing, christy...i love finding out more about you that i didn't know...you've never seen star wars? i can't believe it!! i can relate to a lot of your other ones except that one about being late(i would probably fit into that category, especially after having 3 boys...it is so hard for us to be on time anywhere we go, but we're working on it!)
My pet peeve does not include friends with small children, just adults socializing together :O)...you are safe from my sensor!
You forgot to mention you irrational love for the most annoying (and I say this with as much love as I can muster) dogs.....in the world. Or maybe just Plano. No, definitely Texas, at least.
Actually, I like Max....I just hate his toys.
And Lily is not a lap dog.
Now I'm feeling really guilty about this post. I'm sure the feeling will fade quickly. :-)
Low blow, Kelly, low blow. You better watch it or Max won't give you a turn throwing his slimey, dripping, squeaking, wet, dirty, hair-filled, bumpy ball.
I love this post idea...now I have to make Derek write his list and we will put them on our blog. So many will be the same...Derek was cracking up at all we have in common.
