My junior high english teacher made us recite this list of prepositions every day in class. (I bet some of you knew where this was going as soon as you saw the title.) She was a legacy that was talked about years before we actually made it to junior high. She was tough, but I can't TELL you how many times I have pulled this list out of my brain file to use in life. I'm grateful to her. I remember she threw an eraser across the room when I think really hard, but more importantly: I remember my prepositions! I found where I had written these down in an old file of papers from junior high, but I didn't need the file to remember. I ran into her a few years back at a vertical language arts meeting in the district. I very timidly told her I had been her student. She pretended to remember me, as all teacher learn to do, but most importantly.....I remember her lessons! I had to take this trip down memory lane when I saw this list! For those of you who are Gorman graduates, am I missing any? I'd hate to have an incomplete list!

Oh my gosh, I remember! I had her first period, 7th grade..talk about a scary start to junior high! I feel bad not remembering all the prepositions you listed, but if you had them written down, I am SURE they are correct.
I do remember,
has, have had, do, did, does....oh my goodness...I don't remember after all =)
What a sweet trip down memory lane though! =)
ahhh! mrs.gorman...my favorite english teacher...she was so tiny but i was so scared of her!! we RAN to her class everyday so we would have enough time to write our homework assignment down that she had written on the chalkboard before the bell rang for class to begin...we had to have 3 different colored pens with us at all times...i could go on and on. i learned so much from her, too. i also remember her reciting the prepositions to us standing on top of her desk!! thanks for bringing her up...i hope she's doing well.
was this one of the classes we had together? You did miss up and upon....I remember the list in my head so well. I don't remember my teacher but I think I had Panell. Wasn't Gorman the one who related it all to a house?
Got it, it's funny how naturally it runs through my head. Yes, and we had history together too. I had a picture of a house and a girl standing outside of it, so I'm guessing she at least used that strategy. :O)
