This is one of my favorite salads. It's affordable to toss together, and just the right balance of salty and sweet. I usually wait to toss the nuts in right before I eat it or the dressing will wash away all the salty goodness.
So....when you need a salty sweet salad-----
Asian Slaw Salad
Ingredients: 16 oz package of shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix), 1 large bunch of green onions, sliced, 1 c. cashews, 1 c. sunflower seeds, 2 pkg of ramen chicken flavored noodles (crush into small bits and cook for one minute, don't add seasoning to salad, reserve for dressing).
Dressing: 1/4 c. oil, 2 pkts dry chicken flavoring from ramen, 1/3 c. vinegar, 1/2 c. sugar. Mix and poor over salad before serving.
A lot of times I cut this in half, half serves four easily.
