Did you know you can 'bake' potatoes in the crockpot? So easy and simple. Just rinse 'em, and roll them up individually in foil. Turn it on low for 5-6 hours, and they are ready to roll....or rather, butter and salt when you get home.
It kind of changed my life. It really does taste just like baked potatoes from the oven as opposed to the microwaved cheater kind. It also is a nice trick to know in the summer when the oven is not an option because the house passes as a sauna if you even walk into the kitchen and think about turning on that furnace, and it's a pretty useful trip in the winter when I'm too tired to cook when I get home.
