I've been working on some details for my Mom's 60th in a few months. I decided I want to do pinks and golds, but it's no as easy to find gold as I was hoping it would be. I've been on the hunt for gold candles...yes, I said it's still MONTHS away, but....this is how I roll. I found some for about 14 dollars, but it wasn't the shape I was looking for....and then I thought....hey, I bet I can make my own.
I bought some candles for a buck at the store and then took some mod podge and glitter and got to work.
I painted a layer of mod podge and then glittered.
Once it dried, I painted another layer of mod podge over the glitter-this prevents it from flaking all over the cake....not that I haven't inhaled enough glitter in my life, but some people might protest.
Now on to the next, 6,543 projects I want to do to celebrate Mom.
