The Apple: Apple Candy Dishes

I saw this idea a few weeks ago via One Pretty Thing from the website Cute As a Fox.  What a great idea for a teacher, and conveniently, it fell in my apple-ie themed posting mood.  She covered the bamboo with a piece of sour string candy, but I'm OK with the bamboo stick.  This was really easy to put togerther, here are the supplies.
I think the tutorial used red jelly beans, but I'm a fan of the hot tamale.  I found the red 'salsa' bowls at the Dollar Tree, but I've seen them at a million thrift stores as well.  Fill the bag, tie it tightly at the bottom, stick a skewer through the ribbon, and down through your 'apple' resting in the dish.  Find a teacher to consume your calories.  I found myself.
