You can order all sorts of shapes, but I went with some circles. It was really easy-I sent a picture and the message I wanted on the pictures.
I used my favorite cookie recipe and the rim of a cup to cut out circles the size I wanted (a little bit larger than the cookies, though this isn't necessary if you don't want to decorate the edges).
I cut out a circle using regular scissors and I left a little white around it since my icing was white. There is a clear paper on the back you peel off.
I put a glob of icing down and the picture adheres right to the cookie.
