I made this little party hat for my niece. It goes with a purple themed gift (coming soon...). The problem with party hats? Those tight, and slightly scary, elastic bands. I made this little guy to place on a headband.
First, I cut out a half circle from some sparklefilled purple paper.
Here is a free download to the template I used.
I pulled it into the cone shape and hot glued it shut. I then hot glued on some trim I bought at JoAnne's around the top and bottom.
I hot glued it to the headband, but reinforced it with two strips of paper across the two sides.
Super easy, and the perfect accessory to my very purple gift for one very precious 5 year old princess.
