Spider Card

This year...I'm making my own cards...or at least....that's the plan.  I got a head start this summer.  I try to send cards out to my godchildren/their siblings, and my family.  Since my friends have multiple kids, I have to do multiple cards for each holiday.  I saw an idea like this on Etsy and since I have quite the button collection (but that's another story).  I decided to try it out.  I used black cardstock blank cards I had and I used a corner punch to round off the edges.  I added a piece of orange paper scrap to the top half and a piece of lace across the center for my 'web.'  I super glued the spiders onto the paper and drew legs and then sewed the thread.  You could also use white gel pen-which is what I did to write eeek!.  Again, sticky letters would work as well.  Super easy.  I'm going to put a little piece of bubble wrap inside the envelope so the buttons don't have any problem pushing through the envelope.

Bugs and Kisses in the Mail

 The idea of kisses and bugs isn't new for Halloween, but I three a twist into the mix and filled an empty water bottle with these and mailed them to some little ones.  I cut a slit in the middle, stuff my rings and kisses inside, then sealed it off with tape and a fun label.

I mailed this for less than two bucks....I give my cousin's kiddos lots to talk about around the dinner table.  I was informed that spiders weren't technically bugs, but....I think I'm allowed to take creative license when it comes to the aesthetic affect I'm going for....and the spider rings were fun colors that popped around the container...so....his kids can just be confused a few more years....

Halloween Bucket

I recently got a Cricut (the air).  I went on the hunt for projects and stumbled across the idea  on simplyk of using these empty paint cans you can buy at the home improvement stores (I got this one at Home Depot for five dollars).  The fun thing is you don't HAVE to have a cricut.  I used a free spider clipart I found (it's actually a tag, so I had to slice off the top) and circles and then I just typed out my name.  You could use paint, or punch out circles from vinyl.  I love it....what an adorable idea for trick or treating, or in this case, I'm going to fill it with some adult fun gifts.  I added a ribbon b/c everything is better with ribbon.

Spider Bag

 Just a super simple packaging idea.  I saw this via Martha, but instead of a stamp.....I ran a paper bag through a printed.  Did you know you could do that?  It changed my life.  Clearly. 

I added some string with a dab of glue, and-of course-goodies on the inside.  Because sweet treats is clearly the whole point of Halloween. 

Sticky Spider Webs

Yes, I start early on my Halloween goodies.  Most of my treats have to be mailed, and...why not get the season started right?  I saw this super cute sticky spider web idea via becskandavi site via pinterest.  I thought it was super cute, and these make light little packages for me to mail to some of my very favorite goblins.  And seriously, how easy are these to put together?  My Walmart, Sam's, and even the dollar store sell cotton candy, and I just filled up my bags with the goodies and I'm sending them on their way after inserting little spiders into these sugary webs.  :O)
